Update

Posted on Monday 31 December 2007

So, I’m still running around like crazy since the holiday and work on Friday.

It’s New Years eve and I’m going to sit down and play some more Call of Duty 4 and Simpsons. I’ve only played about an hour so far. Steph is out watching someone’s child and should be home around noon. So, after I finish this blog post, I’m not posting anything until I post pictures from the trip to SC.

Back from Xmas

Posted on Saturday 29 December 2007

We’re back from SC. It was great to see everyone. We haven’t seen my brother since he moved to AZ and my sister’s baby since she was born; so it was a nice time.

We’ve been running like crazy, however. So, I’m going to post some pics over the weekend, but otherwise I’m doing next to nothing. I’m going to hopefully get to play some video games. Call of Duty 4 and the Simpsons were under the christmas tree… woohoo.

One more job down…

Posted on Thursday 13 December 2007

So I refused a job in Columbia, SC today. I haven’t been actively looking to move, but almost always keep an active resume online. With my sister having a baby and my parents looking to retire, my wife and I miss seeing them more and more. However, I can’t seem to get away from where I work. Very few jobs afford the opportunity to affect real change. Where I work, I have that chance…and like I’ve said, I work with a great team of people.

So, a 1/3 salary increase, good benefits and warm weather…poof…gone

I can’t say I’m upset.

It’s probably time to take my resume offline.

Is AIBO returning from the dead?

Posted on Tuesday 11 December 2007

from engadget: Woo Hoo! Digital Doggy is back. Hopefully this doggy is a little cheaper than the last generation too.

You heard that right, folks. Supposedly, AIBO is back… with a vengence. According to rumors, the fiesty-but-killed robo-dog from Sony is making a comeback with a new paintjob and whole slew of fresh features.

Uncertainty…

Posted on Monday 10 December 2007

So, due to numerous changes and so forth…Steph and I are looking to move soon and the uncertainty about the future is a little exciting, but also unnerving. Not really even sure anymore where we’re looking. I’m hoping to get some answers figured out soon. Ugh.

McDonald’s Advertises On Elementary School Report Cards

Posted on Friday 7 December 2007

This is a little nuts - Brought to you by digg and National Amalgamated Meats:
Health advocates are setting their outrage phasers on kill, over a McDonald’s ad appearing on the report cards of Seminole County, Florida elementary schools. The ad promises free Happy Meals to kids with good grades, despite promises by McDonald’s that they would ban advertising to children under 12.

So, I’m in Harrisburg for the evening while Steph and Riot hold down the homefront. I have a meeting tomorrow with numerous dignitaries and state officials…should be interesting. Then back home and to finish holiday shopping.

Dead Celebrities

Posted on Monday 3 December 2007

In less than a year, the world has lost three amazing men and three of my personal hero’s. James Brown died last Christmas, Kurt Vonnegut died in April and Evel Kneivel over this past weekend. Kinda depressing. Ugh

Mac Screen acting up

Posted on Sunday 2 December 2007

Well, we’ve been through a replaced ‘upper’ and a replacement battery…but now (of all times) it would seem as though the screen is acting up. The connection between the case and screen seem to be loose. The screen is flicker and altering its brightness here and there. We’ll see I suppose. I still love Macs though and applecare will take care of it no doubt.

Evel Knievel

Posted on Sunday 2 December 2007

Evel Knievel died yesterday. Knievel was one of my heroes and will be missed. Much like James Brown, his personal life was far from perfect…but his dedication to his craft was amazing.
